There is no more important event than seeing and being seen" Ray Carney
Photographs of intimate relationships and moments speak of both small peculiarities of one's identity and universal feelings of love and belonging. They turn both the camera and the photograph into a mirror, posing questions we might spend our whole existence contemplating: who are we, why do we matter, and what is love?
Intimate Visions brings together work from photographers Megan Christiansen, Fabiana Sala, Minh-Hoang Nguyen, and filmmaker Carl Elsaesser.
This event is sponsored by Duke Arts, the Center for Documentary Studies, and the Experimental and Documentary Arts MFA program at Duke University.
