Workshop: Creating a Photographic Project with Jon Kolkin @ Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham

The process of completing a photographic project can seem like a daunting task even for the most seasoned artist.  However, there are logical, practical strategies one can adopt to significantly increase the likelihood of success. Internationally recognized fine art photographer, Jon Kolkin, will share the strategies he has implemented in creating numerous award winning, widely exhibited bodies of work.

About the Artist… Jon Kolkin

Jon Kolkin is an internationally recognized fine art photographer with extensive experience creating, publishing and exhibiting significant bodies of work.  The driving force behind each project is to share artistically compelling imagery that touches the soul, with underlying themes that are related to how we can live more balanced and fulfilling lives.

His most recent series, Inner Harmony… Learning from the Buddhist Spirit was featured in LensWork Magazine (2014) followed by solo exhibitions at The Dalai Lama’s World Headquarters in Dharamsala, India (2015), and the India International Centre Gallery in New Delhi, India (2015).  Sponsors included the Dalai Lama Foundation for Universal Responsibility, the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives and the India International Centre.  The same series is now on view through Dec. 30, 2017, as a 3 1/2 month, 5-room, multi-sensory, interactive exhibition at the SLU Museum of Art in St. Louis.
